Use Canva's AI to Create Realtor Co-Marketing Materials
What This Does
Canva's built-in AI tools let you create professional co-branded marketing materials for Realtor partners — rate flyers, social posts, market update graphics — in 15 minutes instead of 2 hours. The AI writes the copy and helps with design; you customize colors and add your logo.
Before You Start
- Canva account (free at canva.com; Pro at Free (basic features); Pro: $14.99/month or $119.99/year per editor; Teams: starts at $300/year for first 5 editors ($5/month per additional); Enterprise: custom pricing for more templates and brand kits)
- Your branch logo and headshot saved as PNG files
- The Realtor partner's name and brokerage (for co-branding)
- Current rate and one market fact to feature
Steps
1. Open Canva and find a mortgage/real estate template
- Go to canva.com and sign in
- In the search bar, type "mortgage rate flyer" or "real estate market update"
- Click on a template that fits your co-marketing need — social post, email banner, or print flyer
- Click Customize this template
What you should see: The template opens in the Canva editor with editable text and image elements.
2. Use Magic Write to draft your copy
- Click on any text block in the template
- Look for the "AI" or "Magic Write" button in the text toolbar (a sparkle/wand icon)
- Click it and type what you want: "Write a 2-sentence market update for a mortgage rate flyer. Current 30-yr rate: [X%]. Focus: this is a good time for buyers to lock. Professional, optimistic tone."
- Click Generate — Magic Write fills in the text
What you should see: The text block fills with professional copy you can edit.
3. Add your branding
- Delete the placeholder logos in the template
- Click Uploads in the left panel → Upload files → upload your headshot and logo
- Drag them into the branded sections of the template
- Update colors: click any element → Color in the toolbar → enter your brand hex code
4. Add the Realtor co-branding
- Add a text element with the Realtor's name and brokerage
- Upload their headshot if they sent you one
- Keep both headshots similar in size for a professional co-branded look
5. Download and share
- Click Share (top right) → Download → choose PNG for digital or PDF for print
- Send directly to the Realtor via email for their approval before distribution

Scenario: Your top-producing Realtor partner wants to send a rate update to their database. You want to create something that looks professional with both your names on it.

Tips
- Create a Canva Brand Kit (free tier available) with your colors and logo so every template auto-applies your branding
- Ask Realtors what format they prefer before creating — some want email images, others want print-ready PDFs
